Wile lead a trek across the foreign lands that crumbled beneath his heels with every step, every pace causing his hips to shake and tremble like a willow in a hurricane before firming up for the next foot forward. His massive head hung low, with everlasting thick throat weighing down against his spine. Shaggy, thin oval of a tail dangled with the faintest sign of attention halfway through its crooked posture, leaving its flaccid demeanour lifelessly bobbing during his trudge. The giant towered over rocks and shrubbery, only dwarfed by the majesty of mighty oaks and other green towers that littered the domain. His movement was slow, dragging, with a loud crunching step that pummelled the bending leaves and soil in his wake. Though this was not a sign of power or intimidation, for the massive beast carried weary exhaustion in his eyes and the thundering steps were simply that he could not bear the weight of his own deformed being on fragile bones. The hunched shadow's careless noises were soon hushed by a constant stream of water that formed a downpour against a Cliffside into a pond overburdened with life. Orange eye shifted to its side as he held his place like an immense boulder that had been summoned out of thin air in an otherwise pristine clearing, his iris tracing the slender curves of a dragonfly that darted to and fro among the reeds. But despite its splendour, his grimoire of a face refused to shift in any emotional direction.
Justicar often felt her mind was churning in an almost discordant rhapsody of sorts, regardless of both the company she kept or the numerous attempts she made to banish the carrion that haunted every path the bitch followed, if not for the insistence and careful watch of her Queen there was little doubt that Kari would have driven herself insane or to death if it came to it first. Pounds of muscle and fat had slowly diminished under the weight of stress and starvation, the exhaustion from her nightmares leading to the ghostly apparitions that tended to follow her around and wind her up to the point of homicidal urges, Kari had made some good progress but was still somewhat lighter than she'd been when she arrived in these lands. Even more if she thought of her impressive form just a year ago, she'd gone on a downward spiral after the discovery of her families extinction in the dead lands, it still felt like just yesterday but the reassurance and presence of her queen was a welcome distraction from the consistent confusion her mind wrestled with, just recently she'd been referred to as a Titan due to her height and she'd been so concerned that even weighing at least 50lbs less than she should that others felt she was something wrong. Though perhaps even that was too strong of a word for it, Kari wondered just when she'd be able to fit in among the rest of the titan sized brutes and bitches that she'd met over the years, did she really want to? Her ruminations were interrupted by that sudden pesky desperation that beckoned her to surface for air, the harmonious peace from being isolated from everything quickly broke down as her powerful limbs pushed her quickly upwards, the climb swift as she broke the water's serenity by gliding up and out. Faltering for a moment as she landed on the grass a bit away, her nose damp as she sniffled away whilst trying to figure out the new scent, Golden eyes quickly scanning around to lock on to the slightly bigger wolf. Hadn't Syledia been around here too? Her discomfort of the stranger eased off quickly and she felt it necessary to stand at her full height instead of leaning and relaxing her posture to seem more demure. Formality held up as usual regardless of the sad look in her eyes, being interrupted during her attempt to realign her senses was a common thing but usually it wasn't by someone new, letting out a soft murr she tilts her head up slightly, "Salutations. I did not realize you were here..."
Syledia. Black beauty had been out in the hunting grounds, she was not hungry but the queen was scouting out the herds for a future pack hunt. Though strangely enough, she didn’t see anything worthy of sending out a hunting party. With a grunt the lady found her way to the river that flowed through the beautiful land she called home. Black snout lifted to the sky as the scent of an unknown hit her nostrils, the land was filled with roamers, none seeming to stick around long, and this scent was coming from the direction of her home. Knowing full well someone should be around the den, the young queen took her time down the river’s edge, coming to the small falls that fell just before her claimed lands. Though she did not claim the land by the falls, she spent a lot of time there, swimming and fishing the large fish that enjoyed the little pond. Mmm fish. Lady found herself climbing the rocks for a better view of her courtyard, only to come across her first member and Sentinel, Kari. Oh Kari, how the young queen adored the lady. Her size was impressive to her smaller size of 3ft, her coat had lovely colours, and the lady was always so nice to her. Syledia had a lot of respect for the older lady, and even secretly admired her. Eyes almost smiled as the girl emerged, but her affectionate gaze quickly fell as the large brute made his way into the scene. Hmm, what do we have here? Syl silently watched the two from above, calculating and observing the males actions.
Wile's vision slowly drifted to his greeter, silently staring at her drenched visage. Rather than the typical snap reaction trespassers would bear to this sort of situation, he merely stood with his crooked tail and massive haunch of a spine, reeking of rain and spoiled meat. Well, perhaps not that graphic, but his scent wasn't all that keen to the finest perfume nor was his sense of attire or hygiene. He was a large, shaggy beast whose posture was that of an obese elk hit by a car. With a layered mane rather than the typical cheek and throat fluff and short, rounded ears, he looked more like a malformed lion on shivering silts than some sort of canid. Nonetheless he held his poise and his silence, quelling the shaking of his legs to only that of a once-every-so-often sort of routine, keeping his hanging mug forward. One may think the sod froze with fear or died standing save for a few moments of agonizing quietness that was ultimately destroyed when the gloomy beast suddenly slumped to the floor with a loud thud and a cacophony of long blades of grass screaming and breaking under his weight. A twitch from his tail and it splayed out across the trampled meadow, dragging particles of earth with it. "Good day." Was all that was said, deep, grumbling and baritone. Though certainly not aggressive towards the dripping resident, simply that it appeared as though the sound of his own voice was hostile to his own ears.
Justicar trembled softly as her fur bristled against the breeze irritably in its combination of water-logged weight and grit from her landing, her ear twitching softly as she glanced upwards for but a moment with a calm understanding as she lingered for a moment on the sensation of someone watching her, the older wolf relaxed for a moment before letting her eyes settle back upon the stranger that seemed to be standing stock still almost like he'd decided the best path was to become like a tree instead of responding to her in turn. Just before she can open her mouth to try again the brute deigns to flop down and get comfortable where he is, and with a fresh response proving that he could at least communicate with her, "What brings you round these parts, your' mighty close to The Crew'" she muses in a gentle question, the glimmer of her eyes warm in the sunlight as her fur slowly dries in the light. She seems to examine him a moment before leaning back onto her haunches and having a go at sorting out her fur, rough tongue redirecting some of the worst of the moisture from where its lingering on her uncomfortably, giving him a good long moment to either respond or deflect as he so chooses to do so. Regardless of his decision to share, Kari decides to do her usual shtick and formally nods her head before offering her best attempt at a smile, "I'm Justicar of said 'Crew. Sentinel." despite her relaxed posture there is the thrum of energy under her skin that leaves her itching, leaves her restless as something in her is sure that Syledia is around. This affection of hers was running her in a ragged circle, Kari needed to resign herself to moping or take action sooner or bloody later. Even if fear of rejection was keeping her somewhat stressed out it'd be better to know at the end of the day, or at least she hoped it'd be better for her eventually out in the open. Gods the idea scared her too much to dwell on it long enough to decide as is.
Syledia. Young Queen watched the two as they exchanged a few words, only mumbles were heard from the duo over the sound of the falls beside her. Golden eyes fixed on the male as he appeared to freeze, out of fear? No, surely a brute of such a size had no fear. Maybe he was going to attack? Regardless, Syl felt uneasy. Lady rose from her spot and began her descend down the wet rocks alongside the falls. Though it was not a long fall, she was careful not to slip. With one final leap, Syledia landed on the bank of the river with grace. Making her way to the drenched Kari. Oh Kari. Eyes locked on the male as it seemed he had relaxed "Who is your friend Kari?" voice sounded gentle, yet full of curiosity.
Wile kept his peace about his reason for attending their residence, merely gazed outwards from his propped form. He sad upright, or attempted to, but slowly slouched down into his trademark haunch. He was like a grizzled owl, morbid and mute with broad shoulders and a thick mane that billowed each curled, tussled collection of fibres at the breeze that carried through their vicinity, rousing plants into a tizzy of dancing leaves and swinging branches. Perhaps he was just enjoying the momentary serenity of the water rushing and gushing over the rock face or the subtle buzzing of pond-dwelling insects singing past his ear, but such peaceful appreciation was cast aside as his largemouth slowly dropped open to announce his name, though he was interrupted by another face scattering stones as she scaled and eventually leapt from the Cliffside to join them. The two clearly recognized each other, and only upon the sight of another appropriately-sized wolf did he fully acknowledge the height of the other. Hallowed hues opened wide-- wide for Wile, that is, lighting his otherwise considerably dark demeanour with sout and rounded ears slanting forward upon his skull. A turn of his head towards the twosome, sweeping his gargantuan neck at the speed of absolute molasses with pelt audibly shifting and folding among itself, and he spoke again. Even his words were slow, each practically taking its own sigh to escape his blackened jaws. His tone was remorse, disgust, as though the very ideal of communication was an absolute annoying tearing at every patchwork string that held his consciousness together. The odd thing about it however, was that he lacked fire of attitude in his words and each punctuation almost seemed unsure of itself, with each syllable merely dropping from his lungs in a vanishing grey pile. "Wile. And I'll be leaving soon enough. You two enjoy yourselves."
Justicar had pondered just how he'd react to her line of questioning, though she'd not really expected for Syledia to reveal herself from atop the waterfall of all things. She was beginning to sense a flair for the dramatic was becoming a prime trait to her Queens mannerisms, noticing that Syledia's eyes locked upon the brute Kari allowed herself to turn her head and gaze at her for a moment instead of watching him for sudden changes in behaviour, the scent softly registered in her mind and a warm smile slowly made its way onto her face before she nodded formally at her Queen, "Wile. He was here when I came up out of the water" she murmurs softly before tilting her head again with a curious glance towards the brute again, "But you just got here." she rumbles out after a moment before quietening down for the off chance that Syledia wanted to speak or knowing her try to recruit this impressive scale of a wolf. It was a hard day when someone managed to be bigger than even Justicar was after all, and even though in all honesty he didn't seem like much asides from his height, she was finding it curious just why he'd stumbled upon here. And why he'd immediate gone so almost submissive of her, was he trying to trick her like that disgusting piece of filth Holster? She wouldn't be tricked again. For a moment her golden eyes flicker dangerously and she backs up a bump, nearly knocking into Syledia before settling down again and regaining her senses once more. At least this sort of thing wasn't happening as often or effecting her strongly, being able to shake it off was something she'd become incapable of for quite a while after all, "All is well. Justice is... sweet and harmonious" and she softly speaks to herself for a moment, justice, and injustice. Harmony and discord. Something about it seems to settle her proper.
Syledia. Lady heard the words being spoken, and for a moment the lady was slightly disappointed the brute wasn’t sticking around. "Do you have a place to be Wile?" shed ask before she gave a quick and sudden glance towards Kari, and as quickly as she looked at the larger lady shed return her eyes back to the larger male. After a brief moment, allowing the brute to respond Syl would move to see his size a little better, silently comparing his size to that of Kari's. "I am Syledia, leader of The Crew. We reside just to the south of here close to the cliff side. We are a pack of small numbers, looking to expand the numbers a little. Don’t suppose pack life interests a titan such as yourself?" shed ask curiously as she made her way back to Kari's side, her tail brushing gently next to hers. Voice was all business-like as she addressed the male, hoping he would consider her offer. A brute such as him could come in handy sometime, maybe even when dealing with her asshole
Wile merely watched the smallest of the duo attempt to persuade him in somber silence, his Stoney mug filled with the aftermath of years of grief, of tears that could no longer be shed, of a cold gaze that lingered on and perpetuated his lack of concern. If it wasn't too obvious by his flattened maw and aged eyes that once again became shaded over by his brow that slipped back onto a featureless stance, the gentle giant decided to speak again, a burdened sigh parting his lips. "I have to decline, but I will take any burdens you may carry and bring them with me when I go." And with that, Wile pulled himself to his heels by shoving his thick forearms into the soil like an anchor, with audible creaks and groans not from his own vocals but from the entire structure he was composed of, as if he was a massive construction of wrought iron. Limp tail twitched and danced as he pulled himself upright, hinds struggling to stand and even docking with a bow-legged retort before successfully -
Wile - grinding themselves into proper position at his hips. With heavy steps that trudged with such a mass that his locomotion rivalled someone's grandfather caught in quicksand, he parted past the two dames and submerged himself into the lake that the taller of the two had previously exited from. He walked in, entirely, face-first, no leap or jump to escape the bank or mud but dragged his entire form beneath the waves before raising his head above the breach. No gasp for oxygen or giggle with glee that he had just successfully dunked himself; he remained placid and stoic for the entire ordeal, gradually moving away from the two residents. Maybe the occasional dip was the trick to keeping cobwebs off the bastard.
Justicar quietly observed Wile for a while, something about him was striking a chord for her but she just couldn't place what about him was making him seem so solemn to her. And although she'd rather not part from Syl's side there was a calling to her, her stomach rumbled lowly and she ducked her head towards Syl softly - the lightest brush of farewell, "I'll be close by. If you need me I will find you." a fond murmur as she begins to backtrack to the den to check if any food is lingering that needs to be eaten before any more is hunted down.
