Caliska had been staying close to the unknown pack's territory for quite some time now. She had found her a small area mostly surrounded by boulders that worked as a great spot for her to seek refuge and still feel safe. The youngster was beginning to wonder if the vagabond life was for her. These cold, lonesome nights were starting to ware her down mentally and not having the strength of a pack was beating her physically. However, Caliska had dreams of seeing the world. Every breath-taking sight and heart-stopping moment, she craved it. She knew that wouldn't be achievable living within a pack that was stationary. So, gypsy life it was. The morning had just began. With it's much needed heat, the sun rose over the mountains surrounding the land. Caliska emerged from her hidey hole with a blinking pale eyes and a massive yawn. The grass was still wet with morning dew and the breeze had a crisp chill to it. However, it was mornings like this that Caliska loved. With a shake of her whole body, the lone wolf started her day. Lazy eyes examined her area as her pink nose twitched, taking in all the scents around her. Another lonesome, uneventful day it seemed. In an almost sulking manner, Caliska made her way over to the rabbit she had killed the night before and lied down to gnaw on the leftovers while letting the sun warm her ivory fur.
Kenma. The Prince was tired. He was so, so tired, and so hungry, and so ready to just lay down and die. Wasn't that what Stun did? Just. Died. The idea sounded nice- no more walking, no more tripping, no more being pushed around. He'd be able to see Archie again. That'd be cool, right? He missed her. But wait, were those horns he saw, bobbing behind a bush? He expected a whiff of deer, but no, it was all wolf... That's. He sat down with a thump, staring at the ground in shock. Maybe he was already dying.
Caliska's ear perked up and head shot in the direction of the faint sound of someone else nearby. Slowly, she stood up. Her body laguage was calm, though her eyes were wide and her nose was going crazy trying to identify who it was that was nearby. As she peeked over the brush, an unknow figure came into sight. So today was going to be eventful after all. Caliska tried to stay calm and collected as she came around the bush, though her body began to state otherwise. Her tail was ever-so-slightly risen, giving off a tad bit of dominance. It was unlike her to be like this, but with all the strange creatures around, she couldn't help but stand up for herself. "Hello," she emitted sternly. "May I help you?" Her voice had an odd harshness to it, which was shocking even to her that she was acting in this way.
Kenma. It was a wolf! Er, could she be considered one? The gal that showed herself seemed like a wolf, although the antlers sprouting from her noggin certainly challenged that. "What the fuck is on your head?" he blurted out, utterly shocked. He had seen his fair share of odd species but this one certainly takes the cake. (Archie would've laughed, probably.)(Stop thinking about her.) "Sorry, that was mean." Woah, he apologized. That's a first.
Caliska's eyes narrowed at the unknown male's comment over her antlers. She knew they were different and she wasn't quite fond of them herself, but there was no reason to be rude. "Yeah, that was mean." She responded to him. She already wasn't exactly fond of him. Caliska positioned herself to where she was standing directly in front of the stranger, but far enough away in case events took a turn for the worse. "Again," voice a little on the hostile side. "May I help you?"
Kenma. Ken blinked, head tilting as he examined the gal. "No, not really," he said after a moment. "Merely lost." He didn't need any help... And besides, was he really lost if he had no destination? That was a thought. He didn't really care if he was trespassing, but he'd like to avoid a fight, so he peered at the gal and questioned, "is this your land?" She didn't look threatening- past the antlers, of course- but the Prince was lazy and battles took effort, more effort than respecting territorial boundaries.
Caliska. "No, however there is a pack over yonder." She informed him while tossing her head in the direction of the pack's land. "They're a little strange, so walk with caution." Caliska emphasized on the word 'strange'. It wasn't all members, mostly just that crazy one that chased her. The others were quite alright. Realizing there was no real threat, white lady lowered her rump slowly as she eyed the stranger. "What do they call you?"
Kenma. A pack. He wasn't sure if the information was welcome or not. And they're strange. What's considered strange for a wolf adorned by antlers? This pack must be even more odd... And Ken wasn't too keen on finding out how... But next his name was being requested, and he almost introduced himself as 'Flower Prince' before he remembered that's not his real name, it was only a nickname from his sister. Isolation does things to you. "Kenma." My name is Kenma.
Caliska nodded at the male named Kenma's introduction. "Nice to meet you Kenma," a small toothy grin came across her visage. "I am Caliska." She said her name with a bow of her head. Her mother had taught her to always take pride in her name. Swiveling her head around to look behind the male, then back at him, she asked another question. "Are you alone?" Caliska hasn't met another lone wolf yet, so it was a little nice to have someone that understood the struggle.
Kenma. Now that they were on name basis, Kenma let himself slip into disinterest. His pose relaxed, his shoulders hunched, eyes roving the area. "Yeah." He was alone. Not that he wanted to be, of course, but sometimes life doesn't take into consideration your desires. "Why does it matter?"
Caliska. This male was a little rude and it was starting to tick Caliska off a little. She never had let little things get to her like this, it was probably because of her long time alone though. She wasn't used to conversation. "I'm only curious. I'm alone as well." This encounter was a little strange and Kenma didn't seem like he was in the right mind even though she had just met him. Maybe some food would cheer him up? "I have a half eaten rabbit if you're interested." Her tail began to wag once she asked the question. Might as well try to cheer him up while he's around. Maybe he wouldn't be as rude.
Enter Syledia..
Syledia. Black Queen adorned with a crown of red much like the red of her great grandmother, a Queen herself; was out marking the lands shed claimed for The Crew's resurrection. The Crew had been whispered in the nightmares of frightened souls once upon a time, and now.. It was time they rose from the dead and claimed a new home. A new start, with the Blood Queen as her mentor, Syl was proud of how far she'd come, now lets not get cocky little one. Eyes narrowed as the scent of 2 wolves lingered in the distance, one set was vaguely familiar. A name could not be placed and so the dark lady approached, and why not, they were so close to The Crew after all. Syledia stood 3 feet tall, tail up in dominance, ears alert and locked on the two. "State your business for being so close to claimed lands." Teeth were visible as she spoke, her voice loud enough for them to have heard her clearly. Syl was not in the mood to beat around the bush so to speak.
Enter Antics..
Antics sauntered with an aire of regal nonchalance, the stifling hot air causing her tongue to be lolled from her throat and heavy pants causing chest to rise and fall. It hadn't taken much effort to rejoin the group, they were loud and the scent was overwhelmingly distinct. Bringing the group into view, hollow silver stare fell upon two strangers first, never leaving their framework as she slowly and quietly calculated the goings on. Syledia was doing her Queenly duties, so for now, she remained quiet and sat herself behind the little Queen. She almost held an aire of a shadow, always following Syledia, only moving when she moved, attacking on command as was her purpose.
Caliska's hospitality was cut short when another voice cracked from the distance. She knew that voice, it was the Alpha lady. A sigh was given along with an eye roll before the leader of the nearby pack saw her. Such sass coming from this once scardy cat of a dog. Rump rose from the ground and was held ever so slightly above her spine. She wasn't on the pack's land, so it wasn't like she had any right to be so overly protective of the two being over here. "I'm simply sleeping within this hidden area. I mean no harm to any of you." Her voice matched that of the black female. Along with her teeth bared and antlers pointed in the direction of the lady, Caliska wasn't much of one to take crap anymore. I guess loneliness and hunger chances a wolf.
Kenma. The Prince hummed, regarding the newcomers with a bored expression. They seemed pretty normal compared to Caliska, and Ken couldn't help but to feel a bit disappointed. It's not like he really hoped for some beastly, five-legged, two-headed polka dot creatures but hey, those would've been a cool story. So instead, he licked his nose and rolled his shoulders in a display of non-aggression. He still wanted that rabbit, though. "I don't want your pity," he grumbled at Caliska, voice holding no malice as he inched closer. Perhaps the demanding Queen and her odd companion were ignored, or perhaps he wasn't ready to deal with them. (Actually, he was too lazy to answer her. Besides, it's not like he had to. Caliska said that these lands were unclaimed.)
Syledia. Red stained eat twitched behind her as the Blood Queen herself wasnt far behind, Syl knew this, she was never far behind. Always watching, calculating, judging. Antics stood a full foot over the young Queen as she sat there, Syl remained locked on the two before her, no words spoken to her beta, eyes narrowed at the male showed no respect and the female began threatening her with those yummy looking antlers. Black bitch circled around the male in a qick manor, only for Syledia to cock her leg and pee, as best she could on the male. Show no respect, get none in return. With that over with Syl launched herself at the antler lady only to begin chewing on one of the larger more prominent ones. The black queen loved antlers after all. Mmmm. "If you wish to sleep next to claimed lands my dear, you must be willing to show respect to the pack that resides so close. Less you want to get eaten." words came out in a cold and emotionless tone.
Antics had ceased panting and now was listening intently to the conversations at hand, studying how everyone interacted with each other. Large ears were laced with fawn hues, giving way to the deep, rich red that cascaded over most of her frame. She herself, could easily overpower Syledia, for she had been the mate of Nakisai once upon a time; but her purpose now was to protect and serve and mentor the young femme fatale. When Syledia had lifted her leg and allowed a golden stream to sprout forth, hopefully on the male should he not move, blackened lips peeled back to expose a lethal mutation that grew from her gumlines. Toothy grin was clearly indicative how impressed she was that the Black Queen had learned this little trick from her. She would bring her large paws forward though, walking slowly toward the group when Syledia went for the smaller female's antlers. "Sssssyledia." she hissed deeply, her voice raspy from rare usage. "Now, now, is that any way to welcome our guests?" her tone was drenched in sarcasm and hues of satirical romance, eyes never wavering from the male who (had likely) been peed on and marked. Crown lowered ever so slightly, allowing red mohawk to fall, exposing the row of spikes that graced her spine from forehead to croup. "I'm sure they simply have forgotten their manners. Not often does someone meet such a stunningly beautiful Queen such as yourself." Oh, she was egging it on alright.
Leave Antics..
Caliska's ears twitched at Kenma's words that struck a nerve, though her eyes stayed glued on this Alpha as she circled the two. Pity? He thought that she was showing him pity? Ugh, this male was going to drive Caliska nuts. Maybe she needed it, though. Caliska's thoughts were cut short as soon as the black on latched onto one of her antlers. How dare this stranger! With great force, Caliska shook with all her might in an attempt to get this lady loose from her before attempting to jab the opposite antler into the rude female's face in order to get her to let go. The offense was nothing more than a defense move. "Do you mind?!" Sweet voice hollered in distress. Maybe one day these stupid chew toys would become useful to her and not so much others.
Kenma. Agh. He recoiled in disgust, nose wrinkling. Gross. Who pees on others? Not even his brother did that! Okay, but then who eats someone else's antlers? Caliska was right; these wolves were strange. "What the hell are you doing?" Kenma inquired, shaking himself off (mostly in the direction of the assailant) before he gave the Queen a disappointed look. "Chewing on someone is rude." You're one to talk, Prince.
Syledia. Young Queen was surprised when the male didnt back away, thrilled shed peed on someone though, and to top it off her great grandmother witnessed it. Goodie. They both seemed to protest her actions when they were not happy with how she treated them. The Blood Queen had said her protest, even if it was sarcasm. Chuckle had left her vocals as she glanced to Antics as she spoke, only to feel the jab of the antler girls defensive thrashing on the side of her right eye. Damnit, that would take some time to heal. Syl took a calm breath and turned her attention on the antler girl, walking slowly in her direction, the corner of her eye was still aware of the male that showed no respect and some in return. Oh now he acknowledges her, good to know he wasn't deaf. Suddenly the young Queen backed away in a very airy manor, beginning to circle them again "Lets try this again shall we?" A brief pause was given before continuing "Now. What is your business being so close to claimed lands?" her voice colder than before. Syl was in no mood to be disrespected.
Caliska narrowed her eyes at the Alpha, then shot a glance over to Kenma. The look said 'thanks man, glad you got my back'. Quickly, she shot her pale eyes back to the black one and replied to her. "As I said earlier," she let her voice come down to a loud whisper. "I'm simply sleeping in this small cavern. I mean you or your pack no harm." Ears laid back and tail tucked between her legs. Old timid Caliska was coming back out and new brave Caliska was leaving. This was taking a turn for a worse.
AFK Kenma..
Syledia. Black Queen with her red crown gave a snort at the girls response, her demeanor showed submission, but her words caused the queen to smirk. Oh boy, so you want to sleep near The crew and expect no consequences, silly little antlered one. Syls whole attention was now locked on the girl, "If you wish to sleep in the shadows of The Crew, then you will sleep with us and not outside our lands. Youre coming with me." Shed say nonchalantly as she attempted to latch onto the antlers of the submissive girl, there was no choice, this girl would be Syl's new pet. And so if successful Syl would begin dragging the girl by the antlers into The Crew's heavily scented lands. Like Antics had said, maybe shed forgotten her manors. It was time she relearned them. The male would not be forgotten though, but his actions better be thought out carefully at this point. The 3 foot tall Queen would have no trouble taking them both down in a blink of an eye.
Enter Justicar..
Justicar longed for the full force of her frame to return to her, the insistence of her Queen and the over-all lack of choice she'd had when it came to once again eating from a shared pack hunt... well she was no fool. Her ghost riddled mind had eventually consented to both the concern and the orders she'd been given, and if Syl wanted her back at 100% in strength than she surely would push herself back to it for her. Even if her mind was still gradually crumbling away before her. No longer as deathly skinny, her ridiculous height was flanked once more by a wealth of flesh and although she had some way to go before she was crushing other wolves beneath her again. It boded well for her recovery at the very least. And being one of her longer trips out of the den was an occasion. She'd been sniffing out Syledia's path with hopes to assist her in whatever endeavor had dragged her Queen off. Coming up visibly she paused at the sight before her, "Your highness. Dealing with trouble?" although she once again makes a noise of confusion, "Caliska? You have gotten very close to... The Crew... Dear what have you gotten yourself into?" she whispered lowly, her mind assuming the worst. For Syledia was a fair Queen. Right?
Caliska. The black one latched onto her antler again and Caliska tried to break her free the way she had before, however this time with no success. Even though she was trying with everything she had to get away from this brute of an Alpha, she couldn't but be dragged along. As they crossed over the non-existent line of the territory, she noticed a canine she had met before come into view, or the skeleton of a canine she knew. It was Kari[right? i dont remember lol]. Whimpers were given to both her and Kenma, hoping someone would help her. "If it pleases you queen, I'll go else where. I don't have to sleep near the lands if you would prefer me not to." Her poor timid voice begged for mercy, unsure of what was going to happen to her.
Syledia. Midnight lady felt the girl struggle against her teeth, it was no different than a doe or a ram of sorts and so had no trouble dragging the girl along. Ears twitched at the sound of Kari's voice, she sounded more alive than she had in days, maybe she was getting better. "aking are o ouwle." shed mumble to Kari, and as much as she liked the antlered girl, Syl needed to teach her a lesson when it came to The Crew. Black queen was fair, when she was given respect, and Syl was not about to let anyone disrespect her, she dragged the antlered girl to Kari's side as it appeared they knew one another, how fitting. Syl let get vice-grip jaws loosen and the girl was set free for a moment. "No, you will not be leaving now. You are going to stay here until you learn some respect, you are now a captive of The Crew, its time you learn your place in these lands young one." her voice lacked a single hint of kindness, which was rare, for the girl was usually quite happy to have new people join. This was not a happy encounter though, no in fact this was Syl's first time forcing someone to join them, but it was not uncommon in The Crew, no not at all. For the King himself was known for capturing and claiming many members. Members who feared and in time learned to respect him.
Justicar looked around for a moment as she tried to figure out just what was going on here. How had the antlered one upset her Queen so much for this to be necessary? She couldn't possibly disagree with Syls at this juncture. Just look at her. Her own judgement wasn't truly sound nowadays! With a soft nod she'd respond, "I'm doing fine, Dear Queen. I assume you have this handled? The deerolf. Dolf? Caliska." and she offers a toothy grin before keeping to Syl's side as always.
Caliska laid herself on the ground below the black one when she let her loose. What had she done wrong? She was confused by this batshit crazy woman. Her breathing was deep and frantic as her tongue lolled out, panting. Her eyes showed sheer terror as they darted between Kari and the Alpha.
Exit Caliska..
Syledia. Black bitch watched as the girl stared at her in fear, it was not how Syl wanted this to turn out, but disrespect was not taken lightly around here. Not when you come from the lineage of Nakisai. Eyes turned to Kari with furry in her expression, the lady had seen Syl be treated with respect from some and disrespect from others, surely she seen this coming. "Are you well Kari?" shed ask once the antlered girl was down and quiet. "I was worried you werent going to make it." voice softened a little. Frame stiffened and Syl began edging the antlered girl back to their den, providing she complied Syl would tell her to go in the den and sleep there before turning back to Kari if she had followed. "What happened?" shed ask, prying a little.
Justicar handled the furious gaze with her usual calm, something in the knowledge of Syledia prevented her from truly being struck by fear with her actions. It was right that she'd shown them what she was made of, there would always be time for kindness when young Caliska had figured out just how it worked around here. For now she supposes she must leave the girl to her fate, Kari is not here to make decisions for the Queen. It is not even close to being her place. And as they both walk the antlered child to the den and Kari watches her go inside solemnly, her eye twitches for a moment as the form blurs for a moment- But no. This was not ghost. She's fine. Gazing towards Syl with an undying warmth she listened keenly to the softened concern of the others voice, it was wrong that she loved someone so much more important than her. She was wrong. But it felt so correct to her growing rebellion of her own code. So much has changed since it was taught to her as a child. She's not been that young in a long time too, "I am doing better. I promise..." there is a reassurance, and a slight pain to her tone. Its as if she cares more about causing her concern, though she'd never betray her thoughts to the other. Settling down on her haunches and shuffling to try and get comfortable without her excess cushioning, she'd gotten fatter- but it wasn't enough to keep her from looking a slight sharp in certain places, "I... Have often had bouts of... sleepless or terror filled sleeps. It drains me to avoid them. I resisted sleep long enough to begin seeing those horrid things once again. My mind feeding back into something... i'd rather forget" the memory of corpses hovering around was enough to send a shiver down her spine.
Syledia. Midnight Queen shifted on her weight, she was listening carefully as Kari spoke, Syl liked the older lady, she was kind and loyal, and shed stand by her side no matter what it seemed. The idea of the lady being struck with terror filled nights made Syl soften a little, shed been angry that shed let herself go to near death, even collapsing before her, it was not good and Syl was deeply concerned. "You cant avoid these things Kari" shed say softly, using the name shed chosen when theyd first met. After a moment of silence Syl would rise from her position a few feet from the lady and close the distance. "I care about you Kari, you are a trusted member of The Crew and I need you to tell me and come to me when you are going through this. Maybe I can help you through it at the very least." Black and red queen lay down next to her Sentinel, resting a black paw over the others, the young queen was significantly smaller than the older warrior.
Justicar felt the understanding between them in their moments, Sentinel often wondered just what could become of this strange bond that was flitting between them both even now. Kari had been foolish to not share with Syledia when the younger lady was often so easy to speak with, and placed so much belief in Kari. And for what? She'd never made anything of herself when she was in the original Crew. Was it just because she had been both first member and the first returning member? Or was something deeper at play than she would dare to hope for. Golden eyes flicker from the ground to the placement of the others paw with a moment of shock- shock that she'd still offer her such kindness when she'd seemed so angry before now. And righteously so as well, "So little can be avoided these days. I'd gone years not worrying about my Father. I spent a year of silence hoping that The Crew would come back. And then when i returned home. It was just the deadland and carrion long picked over." there is a fragility to her tone, and for a moment she hesitates to continue. "I'd like to share it with you. For i don't think i could ever tell another. A year of silence followed by a year of... just ghosts. My self imposed exile had blessed me with surviving Decorum's total annihilation. But it also cost me my only family." shaking her head slightly before lowering it closer to Syledias, a pain glinting in her eyes like nothing before, "I'll come to you. You... mean a lot to me. In such a short amount of time... And it is not because of my vow to you. You are unique. Even to someone like me who just doesn't know how to change."
Syledia. Darkness was falling over the duo as they spoke, it was one of the darkest nights in a few weeks, even the shadows looked darker. Golden eyes stayed locked on the lady in front of her as her ass met the grassy ground. Kari's movements and expressions were watched as close as the girl could in the dark, but as her eyes adjusted to the night she could see just fine. "My ears are open Kari." soft reassuring tone was emitted as she waited for her to tell her more about her nightmares, and as she lowered her head Syl would give a gentle lick to her ear before readjusting her position to lay next to the lady, their sides touching as Kari spoke of how she cared for her. A soft smile formed at her lips, Syl had been kind to Kari since the beginning, maybe it was because she was her first member, who knew, but they did have a connection. "I hope you do come to me Kari, if anything I can listen and be there for you my friend." shed say again, in a low voice. Their conversation was intimate for nothing was more intimate that talking about ones ghosts and fears. "They cant hurt you Kari, I will help you through this, but I need you to try. I need you to fight them and to be healthy. You cant let them win again Kari." shed add after a moment.
Justicar blinked against the growing darkness as her eyes flicked upwards for a moment, seeking a light in the darkness even if it was the wayward moon or a scattering of stars, for a moment she is disappointed until she flits her gaze back to Syl and finds herself lost in the glittering of gold that her own eyes could never compete with. She lightly leans into Syl as she lays beside her and the light thrum of electricity that had jolted into her system when her ear had been licked had her momentarily flustered with a sort of anticipation she'd never truly felt before. Not even with that rapscallion Lumipallo whom had woo'ed her and flaunted off without even a second thought. But... Syledia was not him. She was so much greater than that white wolf could ever have been! Offering a weak smile she anxiously noses the side of Syl's neck for a moment, "I have only truly feared for my family. It extends to you... and this pack. My exhaustion made me see everything wrong as it got worse. But to keep stable... I'll fight harder, Perhaps i was just lacking in the support. Or... well. I wasn't accepting it. I won't push away again.. Syl." she murmurs warmly, a slight hesitant fear beating in her chest.
Syledia. Black bitch was kind for the most part, but cruel when needed. Shed pissed on a wolf earlier and chewed on Cali's antlers only to later capture her for her lack of respect. The antlered lady had much to learn, and sleeping just outside claimed lands and disrespecting the alpha of the land was not the best way to stay alive. "I know, and I will be here to pull you back if you do." And with that Syl placed her head on Kari's back, a show of connection. This was probably the closest they had ever been, or gotten. Syl liked their connection, but was not sure where it would lead. Was it mutual respect, or was it mutual affection, Syl was not sure nor would she ever voice those feelings, for it was not how the alpha of The Crew should act. The young Queen had an image to uphold after all, and Kari should be one member that knew that. "Rest Kari, I will watch out for you." shed say softly, the lady needed rest, for she was not 100% just yet.
Justicar felt a sort of disconnected numbness wash over her for but a moment, the words should have brought her reassurement and the head resting upon her back sent cold into her system like something had to break the illusion... a lingering murmur in her head reminding her that a lowly - and slowly growing insane- Sentinel was not worthy of a Queen. And she couldn't remember the old Alpha ever sharing affection fully or even truly. Would this old warrior.. no would Kari ever find her happiness? Her heart had been claimed even if she'd still be living out her life lonely inside. She'd never really been good at making her own life worth living, and she could take a lot of heartache and still stay standing. "Thank you... so dearly", mumbling warmly as the presence on her back began to pull her into a drowsy state, despite the kick of her mind threatening all sorts of horrors if she lets down her guard this final hurdle, "I'll watch out for you... When i'm strong enough for.." and her eyes flutter shut, as the scent lulls her into a strange calm.
End rp ! <3
