Antics had somewhat of a difficult time bading entry into the insufficient den entrance where The Crew called home. Using oversized paws and talon like claws, she expanded the entryway and slipped in with ease and grace. Shaking the debris from her silky physique, silvered stare took in the surroundings and all in all, she was rather impressed with the decor. Nasal flaps wiggled as she processed the multitudinous strands of mercury stained cobble floors, her eyes rolling back slightly and drool beginning to string from her parted lips. How delicious. Without further hesitation, Blood Queen approached a mastodon carcass and ripped a cannon bone from within. Carrying it to the top of the throne-like perch near the center of the room, expansive set of ivories began working the rotted flesh from the stained bone.
Syledia. Queen had spent the majority of the day marking the lands after her couple days hike to the large falls that graced the lands. Black beauty returned to her den, a fresh scent of her great grandmother hit her nostrils and eyes spotted the expanded entry of their home. Syl rubbed against the entrance to place her scent along side her kin. Once inside the young queen rounded the corner of the entryway to spot the red queen herself gnawing on the carcass of some of the left over food from the week. Syl had dragged the remainder of the animal inside, creating blood stains all over the floor. Blood seemed to decorate the inside, adding the perfect touch. "Good evening Antics" voice filled the den, loud enough to be heard over the falls that seemed to trickle in creating an underground oasis. Syl cleared her throat as she neared the throne in the center of the room, leaping up onto a single rock next to the over sized rock the red lady was feasting upon. Once situated Syl watched her great grandmother for a moment. "Since we a have a moment alone, Id like to apologize for what might have appeared to be a weakness on my part the other night." a slight pause was given before continuing. "It seems I have much to learn and I lack some experience. It would be a great honor If you would be willing to join my ranks and be my mentor." black and red queen sat before the lady head high with respect, not out of arrogance. Waiting.
Antics; eyes rolled back to the frontal and proper position in their sockets when Syledia entered the domain, marking over Antics' scent in the entry way. Upper lip curled back as the calcified bone splintered off into her mouth, allowing her to chew sloppily and obnoxiously loud. When the other leapt up beside her, a low rumble started in her chest; half acknowledgement of her presence, and the other half as a verbal warning that she had no intentions of sharing her meal. Syledia began to apologize for her behavior the last time they had met, and Antics lifted her head, swallowing the splintered fragment whole. "There is no need to apologize to me. If you are to be the Sovereign, you must assert a certain character that is expected." Soft sigh emitted from her nasal passage as she watched the dark female. "But I see you are trying to make changes all the same."
Syledia. Black beauty watched as her great grandmother chewed sloppily, how attractive. Clearly Nakisai had found her attractive, otherwise shed never be here. Syl had her to thank for sure. Words rang in her ears and a nod was given to the red queen before her. "You are right, It seems my actions were almost childlike. I was a fool and intend to make the accurate changes to be the proper Queen that I should be. That I want to be." shed say as Antics was finished speaking. Syl was still unsure if the lady that stood beside the great Nakisai in what seemed to be a former life was willing to help her, to guide her. "Is it good to lead a pack with fear?" a question that had been lingering in the young queens mind for days, the thought that provoked her trip to the sacred falls that blessed the lands.
Antics let a harrowing laugh whisper from her throat as she listened. It was not one to ridicule the young bitch, no. But rather, due to her own thought process. "In my opinion, it is best to be firm, yet fair. But make no mistake, by being firm, some individuals require a harsher hand than others. For example, if that dirty ass wolf had pissed on MY tree, I would have likely pissed over the tree as well and threatened him should he do it again. He is missing a few neurons upstairs..." For now, she was finished with her midnight snack and simply tossed it from the throne-like perch, deepening her thought process - ascertaining whether or not she wished to rejoin the ranks. "What do you have in mind?"
Syledia sat there, listening to the advice and words her kin offered her. Attention never faltered to anything but the red lady before her. Taking everything in and using the advice to be a better leader. "I would like to come off as a fair leader, one that is not walked over. " shed admit. "And yes, he certainly does have a few loose doesnt he. " a chuckle made its way up from her chest, but only lasted a brief moment. As Antics asked what she had in mind for a rank Syl paused and a puzzled expression fell over her face. Syl thought for a few silent moments, torn between the ranks and not wanting to insult the former queen. "Well, you are a Royal, a very highly respected lady and a highly trusted member when Nakisai was the alpha. Would Advisor be a suitable position?" Syl had been told many times of the ranks that they had used over time. "A rank that can not be challenged, a rank that holds the highest of respect not only from the members but of myself as well. I trust your judgement, and i trust you. If it is an insult than I would like some insite as to what you might have in mind? " Syl shifted on her paws, now slightly anxious
Antics yawned softly as her pink tongue rolled from within the cavity to curl over her lower teeth. She almost had the jaw structure of a large feline, what with the hinging mechanism and the way she yawned and even ate her meals. Red laced ears twitched nonchalantly when her mouth sealed itself once more before tongue raced across her upper lips to remove bloody residue. Syledia spoke of ranks then, and a flash went through her own hollowed stare with amusement of the offer. She had been referring to what she had in mind as far as mentoring was concerned, but this was interesting too - for as far as she had intended, rejoining the Crew was an unspoken understanding between herself and all who had come into contact with her. The next laugh that surfaced was more relaxed as hind legs kicked out to the side, allowing large frame to be propped up by pelvis and elbows. "Just know, no matter what rank you bestow upon me, I can and I will handle any issues that arise personally and territorially - even if that results in the death of another." Her tone was firm and voice was rasped since she was never one of many words. She tried to be selective when speaking as to limit the act. But for now, a maniacal smirk stayed plastered on black leathery lips as she studied Syl's facial features, searching for her reaction before she would speak. She was always analyzing body language, minute facial ticks and twitches that signified a negative or positive reaction or action to come. "If you can live with that, so shall it come to pass."
Syledia. Young queen watched as her great grandmother repositioned and got a little more comfortable, red ears twitched atop the ladies head as she listened to the words that now spilled carefully from her lips. This had been the longest the two had bonded, the most words spoken between the two since their first meeting. Syl thought carefully to the words being said, that Antics would act as she saw fit. "Well, I dont think there is a position that defines your role perfectly. An Advisor consults with the Alpha. What about Second in command?" shed propose as she widened her eyes a little. Tail swayed contently behind the young black and red queen, a hint of her grand parents evident on her face from the red adorned head from the lady before her to the famous green marks under her golden eyes Nakisai had.
Antics nodded slightly in acknowledgment of what was being said. "As you wish." and for the first time, Antics would lower her skull, throwing her laced ears back against her skull in respect to the young Queen. Eyes had caught the tail wagging though, and she would make a mental note to teach her a lesson about possessing such a fluffy appendage later - her own docked tail never moving from the fluff of her own ass. Sneer plagued her ripcord lips again as skull lifted and red stained tufts of mane fell across her forehead to conceal the weapons that grew from the vertebral spines. "Make note of what you wish me to teach you."
Syledia held her breath as the blood queen agreed to the new title. Syl was pleased and shocked at the same time and as Antics bowed her head Syl's body froze, tail ceased to move and without a second thought the young queen bowed in return to the former queen. It was an honor to Syledia. As they both straightened Antics requested a list of things shed like to learn from the red lady. "I have some things in mind, a bit of fighting could be useful i will admit. " shed say in a nonchalance voice. Syl moved to the log that stretched in front of the throne like rock, sprawling her body and resting her head on the rock. "Maybe we can get to work on some things in the morning." shed add before she went silent and tried to get even an hours rest.
End.
