Syledia. Lady had spent the majority of the early morning dragging back her kill from the night before; muscles ached, no burned as she brought home a feast fit for kings and queens. Syl brought it as a tribute to the new thriving pack, with so many arriving in her claimed lands; the least she could do was offer them a feast. Golden eyes with a slight mark from her great grandfather glowed in the early morning light as she crossed the river with the meal, making sure to bring it safely out of view from filthy scavengers. Finally inside her home the lady dropped her kill, looking around for the unusual scents that seemed to litter the courtyard, hmm. Time to mark the land, there was no rest for the wicked this day. It seemed the area was filled with a scent that was not hers, or the few shed met in the past couple days. Who was this that marked her home? With a grunt the bitch set forth and marked her usual path, making sure all the spots that were not hers was the way it should be. Once finished the bitch returned to the courtyard, it seemed the land was quiet, a little too quiet; making her way to the buck shed managed to take down the lady set forth in ripping its antlers from his head. Mmm, something to naw on until the land came to life.
Miatanae moved through the underbrush with some difficulty, causing a bit of a ruckus as birds and other animals fled the area. No, he didn't quite care about the amount of noise he was making, for he wasn't hunting. He'd only barely caught the scent of one whom smelled like Crew, and managed to follow it till the riverbank. "Hm.." Crossing the river, wings folded tightly against him, he would continue on until the scent of fresh markings and a fresh kill was more evident. "Hello?" A short bark of inquiry let out to signal that he was entering the lands, a bit of a warning for anyone inside the radius so he didn't startle them. He might have been Crew before, and still considered himself always loyal to the pack, but he knew that it wasn't Nakisai leading the pack this time, and wasn't sure on who was there.
Justicar. The day found her almost bored with her current routine, she would rise and she would explore but thus far nothing new had really come to interest the old bat in the slightest, with the exception of that one crazy looking wolf that had pissed on a tree and walked off, perhaps she should have pursued and had a word with him further about that when she'd had the chance, but she had been admittedly rather surprised by the almost erratic attitude he'd displayed and the familiarity - the remembrance of some of the crazy lot they'd had before had left her reminiscing long enough for the junk-wolf... for surely he was some sort of junk-wolf? She wasn't sure she recalled his name, had she gotten it? Part of her felt almost rude but she supposed he'd never addressed her by her own name before sodding off to cause mischief- no doubt about that. She'd slept fine last night she was sure, but for now her mind was restless. Almost too much for her sanity sometimes, though the sign of a huge beast of a buck set down in the courtyard, and upon it was her Queen- whom seemed to be gnawing upon its antlers with a sort of waiting energy that left Justi mildly amused by the sight she'd stumbled upon, "That is one fine buck you've caught, you brought it back alone too. I confess that is a curious thing to come upon." her voice rumbles and for a moment she begins to think of a good topic- until she picks up on an almost brisk scent, her head turns from side to side and she lets her nostrils flare up. "Did you smell...? No do you hear that?" and her ears begin to twitch as she figures out the direction the bark had come from, the hello had barely come to her senses at first. "It would appear we have a visitor to the lands. My queen?", offering her a nod she begins to wander from the courtyard towards the nose, leaving some distance between her and the growing scent before calling out, "Salutations." in the direction of the intruder.
Syledia. Dark Queen was enjoying the antler, wrapping her paws around the thick of the base trying her best to detach a piece to take to a more comfortable spot to continue strengthening her jaws. Attention was diverted as her first member emerged and commented on her kill. With a toothy grin she looked at the lady "Took him down late last night and spent the morning getting him home, feast if you wish." she’d say in a proud voice, for the queen was very proud of her kill. Red ears twitched in the distance as she shot Just a curious and alerted glance. Turning immediately and jumping to her dark paws she joined her first loyal member in greeting the wolf who seemed to be making quite a ruckus. Hmm. "You could wake a bear with the noise you're making." shed spit out after Just greeted the new comer. A curious glance would be given to Just before turning back to the winged wolf; it was admittedly her first encounter with a winged wolf, curious indeed. Syledia moved to circle the winged creature, getting a better look at how everything worked. Could he fly? Surely it would be of use in times of hunting or even fighting should that ever arise. "What brings you to The Crew's lands?" shed question as she returned to Just's side, her head and demeanour held that of an alpha. Proud as she stood there, taking in the brutes own stature. Surely now many were coming around due to the rumours that The Crew was back, and indeed they were, under the new rule of the great kings' great granddaughter.
Miatanae's paws did hit the ground lighter as he exited the thicker brushes, finally coming upon more trampled land. He could already tell that the area was taken over by pack, even if it wasn't tightly established. Whomever was the alpha was marking regularly- good. Fresh kill? Good. No pups? Good. Assessing everything that he could as quickly as he could before the others had called out. Scarred face lifted in a proud, but not threatening manner as he was addressed, a slight inclination of his head given as he acknowledged the fact that he was making quite a lot of noise. Some of the feathers on his wings were a bit bedraggled, a few falling from them as he shook himself out and tucked everything back where it needed to go. "Aye, they make me a little clumsy, I apologize." The lightest of Scottish accents flowing over his smooth voice. Brilliant blues peeked out from spots of white as he looked over the others. A glance was given to the mostly grey coloured wolf- she seemed familiar. Miatanae, however, would focus his attention back on the seemed alpha of the Crew. "I've heard the whispers upon the wind. Of the Crew's return. I take it you are leading it now?" He let his voice fall off for a moment, remembering how many different leaders the Crew had had- Including himself when he had taken over part of the pack as the Rinato with Glaciel. "I am Miatanae. An.. Old member." He hid the amusement of the joke of his age, he was getting on in years, not that he looked it.
Justicar felt a moment of realization, she'd almost completely missed that the newcomer had wings on his back. She felt the vaguest hint of familiarity from him and took a moment to try and figure out just why she could remember this chap from somewhere; she doubted that he'd been hard to miss in the past with wings like that. But perhaps they'd never spoken? She had always been rather droll in the past and had never truly felt comfortable interacting with a wide variety of the older members. She remained sitting calmly, almost ready to burst out of her skin if the male suddenly turned upon them, her energy had been pooling up slowly with the lack of things to do after all. "Indeed.." she mumbles softly in response to the idea that he could wake a bear; an almost amused smile working its way onto her usually passive face, She cautiously watches him as her queen takes to circle him to get what she assumes is a more tactical idea of what this one is capable of. Upon the query of what he is doing upon the Crew's lands, Just raises a brow in interest as she takes a brief turn in scanning over his form with her eyes, swiftly assessing his potential and taking a moment to linger upon his wings almost.. Longingly, surely someone like that hadn't escaped her notice for all that time she lived in The Crew. Because here he is claiming to be an old member, he was admittedly familiar enough to have been a possible member. Even if this knowledge was leaving Justi feeling almost embarrassed in her past disinterest of this brute, he looked somewhat impressive- if not relatively short compared to her- though most were short compared to her almost unusual towering stature, "This is The Crew's queen indeed." she speaks fondly, "I however am not new of the Crew. I was a warrior of the pack in the past. Justicar is my name. Miat? ..Rings a bell is confess. Perhaps we didn't talk much back then? I was never one for idle chatter." this one looked much older than her, how curious.
Syledia. Young Queen was indeed sizing up the newcomer, she found herself thinking about how he would fight, would those wings of his come in handy or just be a mess and get in the way. Curious indeed. As an apology was made to his noises the lady would snort some, "What’s it to me if you want to wake up the sleeping beasts.. They would be coming for you, not Me." shed mutter in a dry blank tone. So it was true, there were whispers on the winds of The Crew's return, she wondered who was spreading the news. Regardless, it meant new and potentially old members. As Justi confirmed that she was indeed the Crews leader shed shoot her a glance with a soft smile attached before letting the girl finish. Once Just finished her own introduction Syl would speak up "I am Syledia, granddaughter to Orchis and Veyerus, therefore making me the great granddaughter to the infamous Nakisai. I have taken it upon myself to bring back the name that was once feared in the land, to make my great grandfather proud wherever he may be. Are you looking to re-join The Crew's ranks and help grow the once powerful and thriving pack?" she’d say in a proud voice. Syl was getting better at the speech shed practiced for many moons before meeting her first member who now stood beside her.
Miatanae kept an eye on the grey wolf, sensing the nervous energy coming from Justicar and hoping he wasn't going to get turned on. The Crew was infamous for members of the more.. Insane variety. The unstable and the violent, and he has had to deal with many of them before! But he could take care of himself if he had to, if the scars upon his body didn't reveal that. "Hmm.. I do believe I have seen you before, but we must not have spoken with each other. It is easy to do with the size that the Crew can get to.." he cocked his head to the side, obviously trying to think back to his Crew days, "I've been in numerous positions.. from guardian to trainer, to alpha at once point, when it had split in two.." gaze travelled back towards the Queen, dipping his head and front half lower into a bow- one he reserved for alphas and Nakisai himself. "It's a pleasure to meet you. I know of both your grandparents and of course Nakisai. "I was given a task by Nakisai a few years ago, before the Crew dispersed last time. To.. train someone and bring him back to the Crew when it re-emerged. He is a few days behind me.. But. I would be more than happy to join the ranks of the Crew once more, and serve under the line of Nakisai. If you will have me of course."
Justicar seemed to suddenly chill somewhat out, her intense energy shrivelling down to a more formal approach as she realized the newcomer was not here to cause any quarrel. Her golden eyes rolling to the side for a moment. As she smiled upon Syledia; for if this queen thought this returning member welcome then Justi was very willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Nodding her head almost stiffly she would sit back more comfortably on her haunches, an almost drastic change in her demeanour from before as she stayed- true to the side of her queen as an almost ominous guard even, she trusted the smaller wolf was perfectly fit and able to defend herself but still had an almost too keen desire to be there for her, perhaps this was her old age slowly catching up to her? Bah. "It is good to meet an old member once more, I trusted that word would reach and some would come. It makes me glad that Queen Syledia will have some of the finest returning to her side at the least. An almost fond smile came onto her face, as it always seemed to do. "I was a warrior back then. I.. didn't have much chance of attaining a higher rank, We always did have plenty of strong and fine warriors." she seems to pause as she gazes back to Syledia, she is curious to see how the queen will react to his pleasant confirmation that he'd re-join due to her being of Naki's line. Justi was certain that given enough time people would join for the Queen herself too. Even this old bat was curious to see what this one would make of herself given time, and until that came Justi was rather happy to keep to her side with a quiet air of approval. "That is a fine choice. I do wonder how many more will come back now, Many little moments of clarity.." she murmurs warmly, an old glimmer in her eyes that seems genuine. Bowing her head to her Queen she would smile widely, "This day just keeps getting more curious. You beat the pissing junk-wolf I met recently by far."
Syledia. Young lady continued to study the new winged wolf who claimed to be an old member of her great grandfather rule, the fourth member to come this way, and it turned out shed met her great grandmother as well. This couldn't be any better she thought as she seemed to be filled with pride and excitement as they spoke of the olden days and tried to place one another in their faded memories. Eyes widened as he mentioned the ranks he had gained over the years, including alpha at a time, curious indeed. This beast had potential and she liked that. As the dark winged male spoke of her grandparents shed offer a soft smile, she wished she had gotten to know them, but at least she had her great grandmother around now, she was thrilled about that no doubt. Syl turned to her first member and offered a gentle smile before joining her side, noticing almost immediately when she relaxed. Syl felt close to the old lady who seemed to tower over her, and the idea of her being a warrior caused her thoughts to twist in her mind. At the words of some of the finest wolves arriving from back in the day to see who was now at the top of The Crew caused Syl to smirk a little, she loved the idea and the thought of meeting legends willed her heart with pride once more. Turning to Miat once more as he bowed to her and spoke of joining her ranks shed return the respectful bow and return to her proud stance, the stance of an alpha, proud and true as the lineage had been passed down the line. "I am honoured to have you join Miatanae, from what I understand with you joining we have a total of 5 members and 4 of them are returning from under Nakisai's rule." shed state the stats to the two. "Unless there was some development while I was away hunting that I am unaware of.” shed add. To Miat once again though shed tilt her head a little at the task Naki had given him years ago of training a member to return if the pack were to arise. "Who might that be? Are they travelling here to join the ranks?" shed ask curiously. Turning again to Justi as she mentioned meeting a pissing junk-wolf, her eyes wide with concern and furry. "Is that the one who is pissing in my lands like a hood rat?" shed ask with spite in her voice. Oooo, she was not happy with him. Bout time to put him in his place she thinks.
Zalie moved through the trees like a ghost. Paws brushed over the grass as eyes remained focused on the grazing herd. Body lowered down partly to the ground, she moved forward before muscles tensed and she pushed forward. Deer scattered screaming in terror as she charged forward. Lips peeled back she ran up a large rock and pushed off, jaws parting to clamp around the neck of a running doe. Both bodies crashed down to the ground with a loud thud. Teeth broke through the skin, blood beginning to stain muzzle and neck as female held onto the flailing doe. Prey finally stopped flailing finally dying from blood loss, body was pushed up and she turned moving towards the den at a steady pace. Ears twitching this way and that, nose twitched catching scent of others. As if a switch was flicked, body became relaxed and darken eyes lightened up. Trotting through the bushes she stopped next to the group before dropping the deer. Eyes watched them silently before she lowered her head down and Zalie began to consume the deer, tail swaying slowly behind her frame as she ate the deer. A paw rose up to plant its self on top of the jerking deer while she consumed her fill. Muscles rippled underneath her pelt while sharp teeth ripped through the cooling flesh of the dead animal. Eyes flickering between the group sitting there watching their body movements for a time then she raised her head up licking her lips free of the blood and shook her frame roughly sending bits of grass and sticks everywhere. Sitting down on her ass she twitched her nose settling her gaze on the group. Female was an odd member of the crew, acting crazy and friendly while gaining the trust of others very few saw the killer lying in wait behind those purple eyes that watched everything and everyone like a good. "Hello." Her voice rumbled out in greeting.
Miatanae noticed as the other relaxed, and he responded by sitting back on his haunches as well, keeping his wings tucked tightly against him and out of the way. They stayed like that most times, him not being one to show off, even if they seemed to draw quite a lot of attention anyway. When she mentioned the finest of the Crew coming back he looked down, not mentioning that he didn't think of himself as the finest, and instead nodded in agreement to her later speech, "Aye that we did. I think it was the biggest section of the pack.." There were always tons of warriors about, ready to fight at an instance, even if they didn't ever seem to go to war. The name itself seemed to be enough to deter anyone from starting wars. "Hmm, I'm sure plenty of old members will show up. They always do. Junk wolf?" He didn't mind the studying of him- He was used to it with how many times he had re-joined the pack, and the few others that he had joined. Miatanae let his features soften slightly as he felt he didn't have to keep up his super serious face, the kindness now more easily seen in the male's eyes. Yes, he had been hardened by numerous years in the Crew and past hardships of his own, but deep down he was still a caring individual. "Aye, it is good to be back. Feel free to place me where you wish." He paused, listening to her inquiry. "Ah, the son of Antics and Nakisai." One that nobody had thought was alive- Most thought Orchis was the last of that litter that had managed to survive. "He wasn't given a name at birth. I took it upon myself to name him Prodigy. He has much potential." Of course, there were always the bouts of insanity and cold calculation that were just so common in Naki's bloodline, but with his training he thought he had managed to make him a little more stable than the rest perhaps. "He will indeed join if you will have him as well." Miatanae's attention was then caught by the more familiar face of Zalie; another member he was more familiar with. "Hello." He called out, watching the display of engorgement and gore, smirking slightly as he looked from the kill the alpha has presumably gotten and the one Zalie brought, seeing that the pack wouldn't be going hungry anytime soon. "Long time no see, Zalie." He did turn back to hold a disapproving glance at the two with their swearing, but kept his attention on Zal for the moment.
Justicar felt a chill for a moment as she thought for a moment she was in trouble for not having brought up that strange junk-wolf yet; she'd only met him this day after all. And had only seen her Queen recently since then, she opens her mouth to explain just for Syl to start complaining about the pissing thing again. Well that would explain why he'd ran away immediately after doing that, Just would have to pin him down and have a good word with him sooner or later, see if she couldn't sort him out- or at least figure out what his deal was. "He introduced himself quite... Erratically as Hol, then soon rushed away. Before I could really get a read of him -beside that he seemed a touch crazy." She snickered slightly to herself before making herself seem more neutral. "Has he? I will certainly pin him down on the next opportunity. He sounds like a bit of a nuisance." muttering softly but confirming her own orders in her head, Just was a strange one for sure. But she got things done when she put her mind to it, even if it was something as silly as catching the junk-wolf, and trying to avoid getting peed on if his bladder was as poor as she was assuming it was. The entrance of another took her by surprise almost, but the scent was familiar enough that she did not panic or fret at their appearance. They'd not spoken face to face as of yet, Zalie was it not... now the sight of the bitch digging in casually upon the deer she'd brought to them, consuming with such a lust that Justi almost wanted to look away. The fact that she stared at them as she ate made her wonder if she was trying to bait a response out of them as she had not offered any to anyone else. Justi didn't care since she could so easily go and kill something for sustenance and the Queen had already dragged that impressive Buck back into the courtyard, one of these days she'd have to ask if the Queen would like to accompany her on a hunt, it was a nice feeling to know that they were friendly towards each another. Justicar would pause when Zalie finally decided to offer them up a greeting, a quirk of her brow and a smile her only response for a long moment, "Salutations. I see you are well today. Did we ever meet formally?" though she very much doubted they had, "I'm Justicar... If you didn't know that already" she murred softly. Before turning her head back towards Miatanae once again, "Prodigy? I'm curious to meet this son at some point then, But I swear all these wolves are getting younger around me.. Perhaps I'm just getting too old" she chuckled softly and shook her head briefly, "Ah.. Junk-Wolf is a term my mother used to use for the whelp who lived near her post, very messy looking, would end up peeing itself a lot in the most random moments.." she felt the need to explain to him, and so she did for the sake of not seeming odd. It... Was a rather informal term to be using.
Syledia. Lady listened as Miat spoke of the member who was joining him in a few days’ time, a relative no one knew about, how curious. "I can’t wait to meet him, Uncle Prodigy. I’ll have to keep my eye out for him for sure. I like his name too, sounds interesting." She’d admit with softness in her voice. After a year with no family besides her own mother, who has unfortunately disappeared now, it’s nice to come in contact with relations. As Just began explaining the junk-wolf situation shed give a snort at the idea of a nuisance wolf lingering in the area causing trouble. "Yes, he will have to be put in his place that’s for sure.". Lady watched as one of her other members returned, dragging behind her a doe, it was nice to see the pack hunting. Eyes widened though as she dropped the meal and began to consume the feast before the group without so much as offering a taste. Hmm. "Gonna sit there and eat the whole thing, or offer your pack mates a bite?" she’d say in a nonchalant voice. Syledia rose moved to the river then to grab a drink for herself, leaving the three to talk among themselves for a moment, the beating sun was hot against her dark form, and before she changed her mind she slipped into the flowing river to cool down her body. Ahhhhh, so refreshing. Her favourite part of these lands was this river and its beautiful waterfall that flowed so nicely next to her claimed lands, so soothing. Lady just soaked there for a while.
Zalie ears gave a twitch as she sat there watching the group. Muscles twitched underneath pelt she shook her head some. Turning her head to the side to focus on Miat, a grin flashed across her lips," It has been a long time old man." she said with before shaking her body roughly and stretched out licking her muzzle in thought. "Den mother of the old crew, one that was close to bastard himself and was the one that calmed the bloodthirsty members. Zalie." she answered calmly. Tail swayed behind her frame as she snorted shifting some, "You have managed to bring food for the others, this one was mine." she said calmly. Nails scrapped some she rose up and strolled over to Miat before butting her head against his shoulder in greeting then moved back over to her own kill. Sitting behind it as she tilted her head to the side in thought. "Mate to Naki’s son, Klash.. Miat how is your mate?" She asked switching topics just as fast looking over at her old friend quietly.
Miatanae chuckled at Justicar's comment, "Oh yes, it seems that way. Younger and younger all the time, really makes one feel old." He did feel the years, even if his body remained for the most part, young. It was strange to see generation after generation of old pack members popping up more and more. Wolves running around with their parent's faces or markings, seeming like ghosts popping out of the woodwork. "Ah, I see. I'll keep an eye out for them as well. It seems vaguely familiar; I saw a mangy looking thing when I first found these lands again, but I didn't stick around long to see who it was." Lips turned up in a grin, "Yeah, his name is fitting, I think. You'll... Like him I think. You can tell he's his parent's son... But I think with time away from the unpredictability of the pack..." He tilted his head slightly, then nodded and shook himself out, going to take a drink of water as well. After a few sips he did eye the kill that Zal had brought, but for different reasons, "Zalie. I don't know how long you have been without a pack, but I would have thought that your manners would have stayed with you longer than this. It's only respectful to offer the leader of the pack their share of the kill first." He narrowed his eyes slightly, his tongue reaching around his muzzle with a few swipes to dispel any extra water. "Once you are in a pack, it isn't all about yourself anymore. The good of the many, not the good of the few." But his reminding of pack etiquette was stopped as he heard the inquiry of Glaciel. "She is fine." He hadn't spoken to her or spent as much time with her as he had wanted in the last few years, but he did keep an eye on her.
--Zalie Leaves--
Justicar. Warrior Queen. At least in her deeper thought that was, the moment that Syl gave a mention that Hol would need to be dealt with a tremor of curiosity jumped into her mind, she wondered how the Queen would handle this. She noted the way she spoke to Zalie and tried to continue to gain understanding of this regency she had pledged herself to; she was so far rather pleased with how it was going... But she did wonder how Zalie would react to such a placed comment on this deer. Golden eyes scanned between the two members and once again tried to figure out how she was so unfamiliar with them, she really needed to make sure she got to know everyone this time! She paused and when Miat brought up a philosophical note, she felt the need to add on, "Or the one." before ducking her head slightly - feeling bad for interrupting the other wolf as he spoke. Ready to see how Syl reacted to Zalie's dismissal Just was rather disappointed when the wolf decided to slip off quickly, "Weird.” Justicar took note of the lady now relaxing in the river, the sight of water dripping down her and the look of bliss on her Queen's face made her want to look away awhile, her mouth having gone somewhat dry. The strangest thoughts did come to her head sometimes. She blamed life in general for that! Deciding after a moment to take a quick few gulps of water herself, she leans over the river and begins to have a drink- shutting her eyes and enjoying the remnants of peace left for the day, before slowly pulling her back and resting her front paws in the water with a smile. Thankful that when she'd gone to town on that stump she'd not gotten any pesky splinters. "This is a very promising location for a river. Your Beautiful...” her face freezes up for a moment, "Th-The River. That is." almost getting too flustered, she dunks her head in the water and lingers before pulling back out, letting the water drip down her face slowly.
Syledia. Young queen took in the older girl’s response to her comment, it came out as rather rude causing the queen to snort and snap her jaws at her direction as she walked away. If the heat wasn't so agonizing the bitch would follow after her and put her in her place, that would have to be dealt with sooner rather than later no doubt. Turning to Miat for a moment she would give a nod of respect, followed by one to Just. At least they managed to get a word in before she left. How rude. "I’ll take care of her later, Miatanae would you care for a bite of her doe, doesn't seem like she deserves it right now." she’d say, giving away the girls catch. Once in the river, Syl made her way to the falls, letting the cool water wash over her over heated frame. Oh so nice! Once she’d had her fill she swam to where Just was putting her paws in the river, only to catch the words she spoke. If it were possible the queen would turn red, she was awfully glad she couldn't at that time. Syledia. Turning to look at the river behind her as Just saved herself, she’d turn back and give a bashful smile "Yes, the river is quite beautiful" she’d say with a slight chuckle before she moved out of the river and shook her fur, causing all its droplets to cover Just as she dunked her head in the river. Though the Young queen had her serious moments, it was nice to get comfortable enough with someone to have some fun. A pack needed the light-hearted moments where fun could be welcomed. Surely her shake would cause some water to flick at the winged beast as well, and if he also got wet she’d give a little giggle before her coat puffed out into a mess of fuzz. Oh how silly the queen looked. Turning to Miat once again as the girl slowly groomed herself "How was life with my great grandfather? Do you have any stories to tell?" shed ask curiously, the young queen loved stories, especially those of the old pack days.
Miatanae did offer Justi a nod of respect, she knew the code. A good pack member would offer up their kill first, and a good pack would make sure that that wolf would get their share of the kill as well. It was give and take with packs. He just huffed slightly at the femme's decision to walk away from their new leader, shaking his head. "She's old enough to know better. I apologize for her behaviour." A small dip in his head as a thank you for the offer of the meal. He wasn't going to, but it was impolite to reject an offer as such from an alpha, and he kind of wanted to irk Zalie. Paws carried him back up the small bank to and to the kill, not taking the pleasure in eating the kill as Zalie had, but eating a decent fill. A leg was nearly gone by the time he was done, then back to the river for him. Miatanae sank into the waters until his shoulders, letting his wings spread out before him as he moved around the pool and let the waters cool his baking back. He'd barely heard the comment from Justicar, just a small blink given as he chose to ignore it. And with perfect timing, the alpha asked him a question he could latch onto. A chuckle given as he thought back to the days of glory in the old Crew, underneath Naki. "There was never a dull moment with him around, that's for sure. One never felt as safe or as fulfilled as when they were in his pack. He drew so many different wolves together for one cause, uniting them in a way I've never seen with other packs... I will share stories with you, but for now I must go back. Prodigy is taking longer than usual, and I couldn't say my task was complete unless I actually delivered him to you. I will be back within a few days, most likely." with that, he offered a farewell, and was splashing out of the river and on his way.
-Miatanae Leaves-
Justicar paused again for a moment as the water continued to drip down her face, her ears twitching in irritation when a few beads found their way inside and she found herself shaking her head a couple times to finally free herself of the sensation. When the queen seemed almost... bashful over what she had said Justicar had a moment of calm, perhaps she hadn't said something completely stupid after all. Her mind had been known to work against her sometimes, and it wasn't like she'd BEEN lying about the beauty she saw. Still the resignation of Syl agreeing about the river put a grin on her face that felt almost uncharacteristic for the old warrior, made her face ache somewhat from the disuse of those particular facial muscles. When Syl shakes herself off and the liquid once again ends up on Justicar she lets out a soft sneeze, quickly snorting in amusement at the antics of her Queen. She certainly was something else entirely! The puffed out fur did nothing to hurt the image in Justi's head. If anything it gave her another brief moment of pause to contemplate just when she'd changed into this sort of Lady. She'd have to find something to blame it on, like the heat of the day? Or she'd slept on the wrong side of the den. As long as no one thought to ask she'd have plenty of time to think up reasons and excuses for her odd affections, Harasho she was the biggest dork around sometimes. At the mention of great stories, Justi also found herself turning her gaze upon Miat with a small inquisitive lift of her brow. "I'd say so... Curious stories you should have no?" and ends up somewhat disappointed on both her queen's behalf and her own when he apologizes and departs to go and track down Prodigy. "Fare thee well, Miat. Well met." and nods after him as he goes, waiting an awkward moment as she tries to think of something distinctly not strange to say to her Queen. "Lovely weather... we're having." her face sours at the words, "Bit too hot though no?" abort. Abort. What are you doing? "Not that I can't stand the heat, it's just been awhile since I was living somewhere this nice, I went back to Decorum when The Crew vanished. But it was a wasteland". Stupid Justicar. You've babbled on again! She takes a moment to shuffle her paws against the ground, before settling back on her haunches once again and relaxing- as if pretending she was far more nonchalant about this whole thing, "Say. That Stag is mighty impressive, we got interrupted earlier." and she chuckles softly.
Syledia. Black bitch looked to Miat as he apologized on Zalie's behalf shaking her head at him "No, it is not your place to apologize for her. I need to have a word with her myself, it seems she has forgotten pack etiquette, either that or she doesn't respect me, we shall see I guess." A soft expression formed on her face as Miatanae had his fill of the meal, she knew he had been travelling all night; it was only fair he had his fill first. "Justicar, are you hungry?" shed ask softly before motioning for her to have some of the girls kill. A smile tugged at her new pack mate as he frolicked in the river as she would do, had just done. Syl got comfortable in the grass next to the bank as Miat spoke and shortly after getting into his words of the crew he said a farewell to check on her Great Uncle. "Safe travels Miatanae, I await your return. If we don’t hear word from you in a weeks’ time we will send out a search party. Never know with the bears around and all." She’d smirk, adding to her former comment on the racket he was making. Turning back to Just shed listen to her ramble on a little. Syl was becoming fond of the lady for she was good at making small talk. "It is lovely weather Justicar; say do you have any short names you like to be called? Or is Justicar your preference? Oh and thank you, he managed to kick me in the face actually." shed ask curiously once she was done rambling on, rubbing her nose where he had hit her right side. "I got interrupted by a white wolf and a mangy looking wolf, maybe he is who has been marking my land." shed lay there rambling on herself. Oh this was nice. It had been a long time since she had anyone to ramble on with. Something she used to do with her mother. She missed those days. Standing the young queen stretched her wet form and looked at her first member. "Let’s go for a walk." Syl would suggest with a smirk. Time for a challenge.
-END-
Miatanae moved through the underbrush with some difficulty, causing a bit of a ruckus as birds and other animals fled the area.
