Syledia. Lady had been resting on her usual perch above the courtyard, it was half high up and allowed perfect view of the whole space, as well as maximum comfort. Ahh the moss and grass was soft, one of the things she liked best about the home she intended to revive her great grandfathers once magnificent pack. Syledia rolled onto her side and peered out over the land, only to spot Justicar solid asleep down below. A smile formed at the girls lips, for this was her first member. Her first chance at bringing back the once powerful pack. Dark queen rose to her paws, shook out her fluffy coat and lept gracefully off the overlooking tower, landing on the large fallen tree that was located at the entrance of the courtyard. Time to get some marking in, shed leave Justi to get rest for now, not sure how long the lady had been travelling the night before. Though she was beyond excited to get to know a former member of her great grandfathers rule, that could wait until she was up for it, Syledia did have many questions for the lady. Before the young queen began her marking she ventured to the river just feet away from her den, laping up the fresh liquid and having a quick search for an easy catch. Lady did love fish. Mmm.
Zalie how long has it truly been for the old girl. Powerful paws pressed down into the ground as she moved forward. Tail swayed behind her frame slowly, ears twitching at the slightest sounds before head snapped to the side. Purple eyes focused on a hopping rabbit, tongue slipped out to lap at her muzzle she lowered her body some before off she went. Stomach began to growl and snarl demanding food, legs stretched out through each stride as she caught up to the rabbit within seconds. Jaws parted she snatched up the rabbit, squealing and all. A crunch sound could be heard before silence peaceful silence. Ears stood up alert and focused, after years of being with the crew it would'nt be a doubt how carefree she would truly be. Shaking her frame roughly she trotted towards a water source. Mind drifting back to the days of the chaos that she remembered fondly. Having not found a trace of her mate or pack she began to travel, keeping one step ahead of going back to the old ruins of her home.
Antics prowled with painful slowness as she approached the archaic and holy grounds of what once was home to The Crew. Toes spread and smushed into the muddy riverbank, mercurial stare unwavering from the form she beheld just feet in front of her. T'was an odd thing though... She had picked up the distinctive scent of The Crew and Nakisai, her beloved King; yet... here was a bitch with subtle likeness to the almighty himself. How... peculiar. She had no recollection of this being of particulate flesh descendant directly from his loins, though this did not rule out possibility. Soft pangs in
her heart surfaced with memory of His Sovereign, how he never fully accepted her as his rightful mate. Fluffed ass hit the dried bank and a chuff left parted lips, awaiting to be seen by the peculiar one.
Syledia. Golden eyes inherited from her grandmother glanced around the area once she had her fill of water, shed lost interest in searching for a fish, none seemed to surface. With a snort the queen continued on and began her marking, got to get the scents nice and strong if she was to have new members popping up out of nowhere. Unknown scents now hit her nostrils and the young queen turned back to the river, head high, ears alert, eyes widened as she was now staring into the face of a red creature she didnt believe could exist. Though she had heard stories of The Crew's members being mostly hybreds of unique creatures. "Friend or foe?" shed ask in a strong yet solid voice, though it was the same greeting shed given to her newest member the night before, it seemed to be a start. Syledia needed numbers now, and shed play the nice card for now. She might be young, but she was set in her ways on how to lead this pack.
Zalie pushed forward, ignoring the scents that plagued her nostrils like a menace. Muscles rippled under her pelt she trotted towards the scent of water only to pause and take in a deep breath. Ears twitching she shifted through the scents focusing down onto one she could faintly recall. Memories shifted through until settled on one, a old pack member that tried to take naki's side. Letting out a snort she shook her body roughly and pushed onward. Rounding around a tree she walked almost on autopilot. Paws dug into the mud she moved closer to the river and stopped next to her old pack mate. Tail idly swaying behind her, she turned her attention to focus on the young thing speaking. Ears twitched she snorted before
dropping the rabbit, placing a paw over it she lowered her head to lap at the cooling water. Eyes remained focused on the two content to watch them and collect her fill of the water to soothe her thirst.
Antics: Either corner of the blood red Queen's blackened lips tugged upwards ever so slightly, allowing doubled inscisors to be exposed at the questioning of her presence. "Depends entirely on you, m'dear." Crackled voice hissed out ever so lightly. Large spikes adorned her skull, ears remaining fully erect, nay even to twitch as old acquaintance Zalie approached her side. Pupiless stare wavered to eyeball the other, large skull lowering to gently rub spiked forehead against her side in friendly greeting. "I am Antics, and you are?" Massive skull cocked back judgingly of the young femme fatale.
Syledia. Young queen stood tall, this was her second test. It had been intense the first time in gaining her first member who returned from the darkness, this was different now. As the name was offered a slight tilt of her head would be given, barely even noticeable. Syl would take a step forward toward the red lady, peering over her just slightly to see yet another approaching. Boy this area was popular, bit little had she known that this was former Crew territory to begin with. And it seemed its members were coming 'home'. "Antics, thee Antics?" shed question as she passed through the river to get a better hint of her scent. Syl had only been told storied from her mother of the lady who birthed her grandmother, Orchis. If the red lady responded as with a yes the girl would smile, but only just slightly before she began her rehearsed speech. "I am Syledia, descendant of Nakisai. My grandmother being Orchis. Though id only heard stories of the legends, and from what i understand, a red lady with your name had birthed my grandmother." shed pause for a brief moment. Without giving the others a chance to speak shed continue "I stand before you a young Queen, with the intent to bring back the legends, to bring back the honor and respect The Crew once had. What say you in rejoining the once great and powerful pack that Nakisai had worked so tirelessly to build." Lady stood before the two ladies with a sense of pride that was emitting from her like fire. This had been her dream since she was a little pup, as the storied had been told to her a bedtime stories. She never imagined putting this dream into motion.
Zalie lapped at the water getting her fill before she raised her head up. Body was given a rough shake before she turned her head to offer her own greeting to an old friend. Tail swayed as she stretched out opening her muzzle then clamping it shut. Ears flicked forward then back some as a low chuckle rumbled from within her chest, "There is legends of us anti?" She asked in amusment. Tilting her head to the side she licked her muzzle listening to young female. Quietly waiting her turn before she let out a snort and looked around, "Zalie is my name." She said calmly focusing her attention back on the scene infront of her. Nails dug down into the dead rabbit below her more focused on the interesting scene. So this was one of
naki's spawn was it? mind sorted through old memories before coming up blank she shook her head before sitting down next to antic and merely listened for now.
Antics's chest slowly lifted and fell as she listened intently to the story woven by the young fatale. "Then, I am not a foe." Jaws clicked open to emit a soft yawn in response to Zalie's own, being that they were contagious, extra sets of ivory jewelry exposed until snapping shut on one another. "I shall remain on this sacred ground." she replied curtly, standing then. With a small few steps, she was towering over the young self proclaimed Queen, black nose roughly sniffing her shoulders where she had inherited the blood red cape and crown. Approvingly, a lick was given to her skull just between her ears.
Syledia. Young Queen waited for the two to speak, the one Zalie offered her name and a simple nod was given. After hearing stories of these two Syl had respect for them, for having been a part of the early days of The Crew to even begin with. As the two yawned the girl held her own back, though it was contagious she was in a completely different mindset and currently on edge, she was being judged and she knew it. Of course she was, anyone in their right mind would judge the girl claiming to bring back The Crew's legacy. As Antics approached, the self proclaimed Queen stood before a former Queen herself and held her breath as the lady sniffed at her, Syl felt as though for a moment time stood still for she knew this lady could rip her apart in a heartbeat. As a lick was given to her skull eyes widened as she looked up the the red legend. "Then i welcome you with an open heart. Come, get comfortable. A former member, Justicar has returned as well just last night. She is resting for now. " shed add before turning from the two and returning to her perch for the time being. If the two followed Syl would secretly be filled with a new purpose and pride.
Zalie shook her body roughly she stood up, muzzle parted to grab hold of the rabbit she glanced over at antic's then the young female before crossing the river. Muscles rippled underneath her pelt she snorted some, coming to the other side she shook her body once more and just laid down with a thud. Mild amusment as she would begin to eat her rabbit slowly keeping her eyes locked on the two silently. "What legends have you heard from your mother?" She asked slowly, interest mild as teeth tore through the cooled flesh of her food. Tail swayed on the ground she looked relaxed. She had yet
to give her ful judgement to the young thing, though she would see if the young female could lead the crew like her shade has before he disappeared. Finishing off her rabbit she yawned snapping her jaws shut before she chuckled. "Like old times anti huh?" she teased playfully almost with a grin.
Antics wondered too what legends had been passed down about herself and Zalie in particular as she listened to Syledia introduce herself and her intentions to revive The Crew to former glory. "Your ambitions are dauntingly large for one so young." Basically telling the girl she had some very large shoes and expectations to fill. "It can be done with time." she added reprosefully. Zalie had a point though. "If we are legends, we are old as fuck." she joked, a grin peeling at dangerous muzzle's lips.
Antics personally had memories of running in The Crew as Lead Assassin, devouring the offspring of their enemies whole and without second thought. Yes, she was a cannibal, and had no qualms eating a young puppy should the opportunity present itself.
Syledia. Queen was happy when the duo followed her to her claimed lands, little had she known it was in fact former pack lands. Which was pretty cool in itself. As she was asked about the legends told a smile warmed her face. "Well, my mother had told me stories of the good, the bad, the wars. Zalie, You were the den mother, caring for the young who was respected through your love and loyalty to the king" she thought thats what her mother had said about her. "I had been told that Nakisai was a fearful beast who towered over most and ran the lands through fear and greatness, he respected his Crew of misfits and in some way, though he's never admit it, loved some. He was a terrifying beast, and at his side was his most trusted - one of them being you Antics" shed say while looking at Anti. "The Bloody queen, the powerful hybrid who fought for his law and distributed his pack through your powerful jaws. It was said that Nakisai was more than fond of her." Syl would pause for a moment. "What sorties could you tell me of your time with my great grandfather? " Though she hadnt met him, she wished she could meet the beast himself one day.
Zalie snorted finishing off her food she listened to the young one explain she twitched her ears some. Stretching out she let out a yawn licking at her muzzle. "They survived through sheer luck and trust that i wouldn't let anti eat them." She said calmly shaking her head, tongue lapping at her muzzle she snorted some. "Naki was a bastard. One earned his respect through his own ways. I was merely lucky to get to him before chaos fully took hold." She stated recalling old memories and let out a low chuckle. "Between him and anti, i learned to get others to see my view, stopped naki from murdering a few and saved a few souls from being devored by anti." she said off handly as she pushed her body up and looked around quietly twitching her ears forward in thought. "He loved few, and hated more. I believe me and antics where among the few he loved right anti?" she asked turning her purple eyes to focus on her old friend.
Antics snorted with amusement at the very idea that someone could actually stop her from performing her will of devouring the competition to her own offspring. "Believe me, if I'd wanted those whelps dead, they would be." Winking a dead eye at Zalie, she'd grin mischieviously. "I don't think Nakisai loved anyone other than his own sons and daughters. Myself and the others of his harem were simply vessels to bring him heirs." He'd never expressed any kind of love toward Antics other than simple affection. Then again, not many received physical affections such as nuzzles and cuddles. "I know one thing for sure, if he wanted someone dead, he sent me." Large frame moved to relocate next to Syledia then, flopping down to allow heavy skull to lay across her great granddaughter's spine. She was rather disappointed Syl had not inherited the magnificent spikes of her species. "There are other surviving offspring, perhaps they will make an appearance sooner than later."
Syledia. Young queen was in her glee as the two told their sides of the past, of love, of hatred, of death and life. It was how a pack should be, all running on the basis of respect in the end. Chuckles and nods were given as words were spilled out, this was nice, this is what she wanted. Eyes grew wide as Antics, her great grandmother rose and joined her on her moss filled perch above the dens entrance. The land was well grown in, and most likely much different from when they remembered the land, but it was cozy. A sense of belonging washed over the new Queen as her great grandmother rested her head on her. "I am honored to meet you guys, i hope you know that." shed say softly. For before her now, in her new home was legends of her bedtime stories. "I have big paws to fill, but i will make you proud." shed say a little softer, more so to Antics though. As the mention of other offspring was spoken a light flick of her tail was given. "Hopefully sooner." shed add, for the sooner this pack can grow in numbers, the better chances she had of becoming a successful queen to the greats.
Zalie loud snort was emitted as she listened to antics and shook her head, "Perhaps, but i wasn't known just as den mother as always." she teased before she laid back down and laid her head down over her paws she twitched her ears listening to antics before tail twitched some. Amusment growing she shifted rolling over onto her back as she chuckled softly. "You and me see things differently. He gave me affection, after i managed to crawl underneath him of course to avoid the heat" she snickered and licked her muzzle before rolling back over and shook her frame roughly. Nails dug down into the ground below her body as she focused on the little family relaxing. Her heart gave a pang of sadness at the knowledge all her offspring have died. Ears lowered some she shook her head and let out a soft sigh. "Hm...what do you think anti? Think i still have enough years left to pass on my dying legacy?" She teased softly, a undertone of sadness coated with the tease and chuckled. "Give it time."
Antics nodded softly, ears flickering as she listened to Zalie and Syledia speak or legacy. Antics hadn't given a second thought about legacy. As far as she was concerned, that was up to her prodigies now. She was older now, and tired despite appearing as no more than the ripe age of a 2 year old pup. With another yawn, eyes began to flutter.
