Hey all!
As you all know, we have had two litters in the pack. To keep RP consistent among our younger IC members, we need to set an agreeable aging scheme. Nakisai has left me in charge to determine what is appropriate for the pack. To that, if you would not mind, please suggest an OOC to IC ratio that fits your ideals and goals. Some of us like a faster pace, some of us like a lower pace. I want to find an agreeable medium. Any help would be appreciated. Once a scheme has been picked, I'll be programming a Javascript calculator that will keep track of pup development. This calculator will make it very easy for you all to RP as it'll keep track for you and it'll even suggest RP plots.
Example: YS' accepted standard is 1 IRL week to 1 IC month.
NOTE: This is just for pups. After you're a year old IC, aging is all based on your digression.

Ooorr if it was an issue as it seems to be brought up here, you could always just whisper Zal or myself ? Considering we're the parents of this other litter you're talking about, it could be easier. Unless of course you're talking more general terms and not just us as parents IC..?Okay so general terms; We've been aging ours as followed: First three months (since they're less exciting as pups): 1 week OOC = 1 month IC Afterwards: 2 week OOC = 1 month IC

YS's seems a bit fast. I like Klash's idea if there had to be a set frame. Personally, I feel it should be left up to the "family" as some people might not have an opportunity to be around as much with school or general life at that moment. I know I'd be pretty upset to miss out on some good pup rps because of exams or busy time at a job. Aside from that, it can be pretty difficult rounding up all the people you want or need and getting it completed within that time frame.
It would be nice as a default reference, but I'd lean toward letting the family work it out between themselves. Both parents, all pups.

A pack in YS (Plague) is doing that now actually, Klash. I do know that there are a few things in the first three months that pups can do but many people seem to want to skip that part.
So far the vote seems to favor it. The problem with leaving it up to individual families is that there are more than one family in the pack. Why should another family age slower or faster than another family when ICly, it wouldn't make any logical sense. That's the issue I come to face time to time when families are left to figure it out on their own within a pack. This is especially true if not everyone in the pack or family agrees with a particular member either. Therefore, I think a strict guideline should be enforced though because a forum can be accessed from anywhere, perhaps people could utilize it to go over the development plots they have missed or just for general RP.

Naki likes the idea and I do too. I'll be programming a Javascript calculator for it soon.
Official New Rule: Until a year of age, pups will age one IRL week to one IC month for the first three IC months. After they're three months old IC, they're to age two IRL weeks to one IC month until a year old. After they're a year old, it is up to the role player's prerogative.

Alrighty, awesome. Also- About the leaving it up to the family suggestion: I think that whenever the pups that might be missing out of certain RPs because of time and such, the family itself could agree to hold certain roleplays amongst themselves to catch up a bit. Like hold a RP that would have taken place before- like that it would make sure they had at least one chance if they missed the opportunity and wanted to roleplay a certain growth part. The main rule can be enforced for sure when others not of the family are involved or don't agree to it of course. but anyways just an option for whenever that happens or if a pup feels they wanted to RP more in that area of time! Or anywho, that's what we've been doing(zal and myself), like for the RP where they started to wobble and such, we had an RP a bit at a later date than it was supposed to for everyone- So that could always be an option as well, since Aco brought it up. It's just for when other younglings are involved that the rule should be more enforced I imagine.

I do not mind that a family goes back and makes up role plays that they might have missed during the development. Kota's family is doing the same so whatever people do within their own family is fine. The pack rule is for when litters are interacting with one another.

Rule Revision: 13. Aging: Pups will age one IRL week to one IC month for the first three IC months. After they're three months old IC, they're to age two IRL weeks to one IC month until a year old. After they're a year old, it is up to the role player's prerogative. Within the privacy of a family, it is the family's prerogative to role play whatever plots they choose, whether to make up a development plot to help catch everyone up or to just do something just for themselves, unrestricted by the aging rule. This aging rule is only for when litters within the pack interact with one another.
